Film Investment Analyst.

Engaged in providing research and analysis of the North American media industry as a basis for investment decisions. Duties include the researching of public companies in the North American media industry with respect to past, present, and future project and profit viability. Analysis of private companies and projects in the U.S.  and Canadian film industry related to public offerings and financings, private placements, mergers, and acquisitions. Assisting in the structuring of media-related investment-banking transactions.

Assistant to Jill Cutler, Literary Agent, Creative Artists Agency – Oct 2001 – Feb2003.

Assistant to the Director and Executive Producer- Showtime Networks Inc.- Sightings:

Heartland Ghost - May – July 2001

Administrative duties included screening all calls, maintaining files and data bases, scheduling all appointments and organizing travel. Responsible for ordering and cataloging stock footage and playback material. Created  storyboards, prepared coverage of scripts submitted to the director.

Assistant to the Executive Producers and the Star – Marian Reese and Associates.  with Bakula  Productions Inc.- Papas Angels – August – October 2000

General administrative duties: maintaining files, handling phones, organizing travel, scheduling  appointments.  Prepared script coverage. Administered to all personal and professional needs while on location. Acted as a liaison with L.A. office.

Assistant to the Director  - BEI –Hard Rain Productions/CBS – Children of Fortune – June –  August 2000.

Administrative duties included filtering all calls, maintaining files, scheduling all personal and business related appointments and organizing travel. Coordinated with business manager on all matters related to personal finance. Conducted in depth historical research on topics related to the production.

 

Pre-Graduation Experience

Producer, Director and Web Author, Alan Smithees’s Big Shot – September – December 1999.

Worked with a team of three to design, produce and  program a film inspired, interactive web site which  incorporated more than thirty minutes of digital video footage.

Delegate – 20th Banff Television Festival – June 1999

Participated in a symposium on writing and producing for television, conducted by David E.Kelley.

Financial and Volunteer Coordinator – ASUS Second run Movie Theater, Kingston, Ontario

Organized team of volunteers involved in operation of theater. Participated in all operations of the theater, including  marketing and finance.

Producer and Director – Palantir Productions, Kingston, Ontario – March 1997 - January 1998.

Co-produced and directed theatrical production of Dracula from an original script. Raised financing, directed marketing, organized production budget. Involved with costume, set and prop, design and construction. Directed  student cast and crew of 15.
