Now in the 15th year, the Workshop provides a unique and innovative retreat format to encourage entrepreneurs to think about their business in a new and objective way. The true value of the workshop comes from the opportunity for entrepreneurs to "step back" and evaluate their business in the context of other businesses that have experienced similar challenges. The work of CETAC-West is very impressive indeed and much was accomplished by the 45 participants. The continuous involved of previous clients a mentors and contributors to the Workshop speak very highly of the quality of CETAC-West's services. To have alumni present a cheque for $100,000 at the beginning of the workshop was also a very power statement.

Alberta is finally gaining tracking on brownfield policy. The private sector and the cities are urging the Province of Alberta to recognize the challenges of brownfield redevelopments and develop a comprehensive strategy which addresses them specifically.

Russell travelled to the Bay Area and had productive meetings with the Cleantech Group, Prescience International, the Canadian Consulate, with several technology orientated firms, and UC Berkeley. The trip was design to keep our contacts in the Bay Area up-to-date on our International Avenue Technology Centre. Having strong links to the centre of innovation finance and assistance are important value-adds for our future clients. Conerning SaskAlta, Russell also visited Chemical Engineering Partner's corporate office and their re-refinery.

Torrey took part in CETAC-West's Entrepreneur to CEO Workshop at the Banff Centre. This was the 15th annual workshop and was attended by around 40 entrepreneurs in the environmental technology space. Torrey was invited to have more exposure to firms which are working to develop innovate enterprises in Alberta.
