Russell Kalmacoff, President
Russell Kalmacoff is a financial executive and capital markets generalist and President of Rockmount Financial Corporation. Mr. Kalmacoff acquired Rockmount Financial Corporation (formerly Security Home Financing Limited) in 1975 and has operated it and its related entities for over 40 years. He is also President and CEO of the Rockmount Group of Companies which also include Hub Oil Company Limited and Kalmacoff Holdings Ltd.
He divides his time among various business and management duties, volunteer work in academia and public policy development. He is on the advisory boards of the Clausen Center for International Business and Policy, and the Canadian Studies Program, at UC Berkeley; the Real Estate MBA Program and the International Committee (US) at the University of Calgary; and the Business Leadership Advisory Committee at Athabasca University, where he is also Executive in Residence. He is on the Board of Directors of the Frontier Centre for Public Policy, a Canadian think tank. He served on the Government of Alberta’s task force on technology commercialization where he designed the implementation plan for the Alberta Enterprise Corporation. Mr. Kalmacoff spent two years at the University of Calgary in engineering before transferring to the University of Manitoba where he received a Bachelor of Commerce. He then earned an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. Originally form Kamsack Saskatchewan, Mr. Kalmacoff has called Calgary home since the late 60's.
